Cold Ocean Dip For The Menopause

So over the last few weeks, i've had a pretty busy time what with the rain and the sun the garden is growing out of control, I am confused where to start out there but it is very beautiful and I am so lucky to have such a tranquil place to relax and exercise. lt certainly keeps my base fitness up to scratch with all the work it needs to keep it nice.

l have had a few early starts to the days too, with some beautiful mornings I've managed to drag myself out of bed just after 6am met a friend and we kicked some days off with a bike ride down to the beach for a sea swim. Now I've been in a few of times this year and it has been mega cold but with the glorious sun, I was hoping it may have warmed up a little but not so, it was still blooming freezing.

There is always a lot people practising and getting ready for their cross channel swim attempt. Now if there's one thing I have no intention of trying and that is swimming the channel l think it would kill me no way i will pass that one thanks. The benefits of cold water swimming are many though, I think I will discuss these another day as its a topic that deserves its own blog.

For me its a refreshing start to the day, I think its a love-hate relationship l hate getting in but, love it once I've done it, it helps alleviate menopausal symptoms and its a great way to fire up your metabolism, if I can get in that sea anyone can, its a fantastic free activity that I'd recommend for everyone, my father in law even goes in on Boxing Day and he is in his seventies now that is cold. l do have a chuckle when my friends are screaming their way into the water (from the cold), it puts a big smile on my face to start the day well.

lm going to set myself a few fitness goals, I will share these with you when i come up with some challenges. I would like to challenge myself even if its something just small and I will see who else I can get involved too.

So, for now, stay healthy and lets journey together!
